The passing of a 18-month-old student of Bessie International School, a tuition based school on Wahab Larinde Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, has tossed the administration and the expired's family into grieving.

The young lady, Memunat Lamidi, who was said to be in the crèche area, was allegedly hit on the school premises by a Toyota Litace, with number plate, JJJ393BU, possessed by the school.

Punch Metro assembled that the young lady was with one of the watchmen around 1pm on Thursday when the transport was crashed into the premises.

The watchman was said to have situated her on a seat while he made to open the door for the driver.

He had opened one side of the door and needed to open the opposite side for smooth passageway of the vehicle, when Lamidi got down from the seat and strolled into way of the vehicle.

She was thumped around the transport as the driver crashed into the school compound.

A lady, who offers drinks inverse the school, told Punch Metro on Monday that Lamidi's mom had been moved because of the injury brought on by the episode.

"Everyone was crushed by the episode. Typically, when a vehicle needs to enter or leave the school premises, the watchmen open the door. One opens a side of the entryway, while alternate opens the opposite side. In any case, that day, one of the guards, called Malami, was not around when the school transport blew the horn from outside.

"The young lady was playing with the accessible watchman. He put her on the seat and went to open the entryway. As he was opening the opposite side of the entryway, the young lady left her seat.
