A Naval work force purportedly found possessing 14.5 kilograms of Indian Hemp (cannabis sativa) has been rejected and given over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for arraignment.
As indicated by an announcement marked and issued by representative of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft, Lieutenant Elizabeth Ibrahim, the officer was expelled after he was captured with the substance, summarily attempted, and discovered liable of the offense.
The announcement peruses: "On June 7, 2016, one Seaman, H. Umar, X13555, was captured for being in control of around 14.55kg of unlawful substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.
"The ex-rating was summarily attempted and the lawful audit of the trial showed that the blamed was legitimately charged and due process was agreed to amid the trial.
"He was discovered blameworthy and the sentence of expulsion was granted to him for hawking illegal medications.
"In like manner, the ex-rating was given over to the NDLEA for essential activity.
"This is to educate the overall population that he is no longer an individual from the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
"Any individual who executes business with him does as such at his or her own hazard".
